If you haven't yet seen Ridley Scott's Prometheus, which opened this past Friday, stop reading NOW! While there won't be any spoilers in this blogpost, each one of the links I'm about to provide contain tons of spoilers and will ruin the movie for you. If you have seen the film already—or, like myself, have already seen it multiple times—keep reading.

No film in recent history has resulted in such an outpouring of discussion on the interwebs. By doing a simple search, you're sure to uncover interviews with Ridley Scott, blogposts concerning the film's complex symbolism and even viral videos released prior to the film's release. What I've attempted to do below is compile six of these very things in one place for your convenience and enjoyment.

1. Prometheus Unbound: What the Movie Was Actually About
Here's the mother of all blogposts concerning Prometheus. This guy, Cavalorn, goes really into depth on the film's "mythic resonance," motifs and symbolism—and he tries to explain some scenes and plot points that may have left you unclear. If you read nothing else concerning the film, make it this one. Seriously, this guy's a genius.

2. Guy Pearce's Peter Weyland Viral Video
Some people have been bitching about the fact that Guy Pearce played Weyland in old-man makeup. As we already know, Ridley Scott intended to feature a young Peter Weyland, but that scene got cut. We do, however, have this viral video (released before the film's release) explaining the mythological tale of Prometheus at the fictional "Ted 2023" conference. Watch it here:

3. A Few Questions About Prometheus
A humorous four-minute video posted on Roger Ebert's Chicago Sun-Times blog that has a dumbfounded guy asking his even-more-dumbfounded friend some of the many questions that arise from the film. We hear there's a 30-minute version as well, which you can get to from the above link.

4. 10 Things You Didn’t Know About the Making of Prometheus
As this story puts it, "Ridley Scott's Prometheus is one of the year's most visually stunning movies. It's full of astonishing images that live on in your mind's eye after you leave the theater—and every single one of those images was the result of hours of work by a team of designers who worked literally around the clock." In addition to seeing some amazing images from the film, learn 10 things you didn't know about the film's production.

5. The Science of Prometheus
A review of Prometheus with a look at the science behind the film. What a shocker—all of the science in the film doesn't quite match up with reality! Then again, neither does the entire plot, because it's fiction. This guy may get you a little peeved with his nagging complaints, but it's still an interesting read.

6. Ridley Scott Talks Deleted Scenes
If you're like me, you can't freaking wait for the film to be released on DVD with a director's cut, deleted scenes and commentary. This link will take you to interviews with practically the entire cast and Scott, and also a video interview with Scott where he talks about what'll be on the DVD and Blu-ray releases (and the Blade Runner sequel, for those who are interested).
