2012's Pride Month marks the year that L.A.'s Black Pride event, better known as "At the Beach," makes it's move from Malibu to Los Angeles. The event kicked off during Independence Day yesterday and continues through the weekend.
L.A. City Councilman Bill Rosendahl (District 11) was a driving force behind moving the event to Los Angeles this year and making it the official closing event for 2012’s L.A. Pride festivities.
Visit FrontiersLA.com for more details on the happenings this weekend and to hear from Paul Scott, the president of Pride & Promote which puts on LABP, on why the move occurred and what attendees can expect.
