Frontiers Film Friends Face Deportation!

Go see Frontiers cover models David Ross and Gustavo Marçolla in their respective films about love in the face of deportation this Wednesday and Thursday. It’s nice to support gay film, especially when the folks involved are genuinely nice people.

David Ross’ I Do premieres at The Ford as part of Outfest’s “Under The Stars” screenings, Wednesday, July 17 at 8:30 p.m. David is the writer, producer and one of the principal performers in this green card-love triangle-romantic drama—directed by Glenn Gaylord. There is an afterparty at St Felix Hollywood—with cupcakes!

Gustavo Marçolla’s Pink and Green premieres at The Landmark Thursday, July 19 at 5 p.m. for the closing night of the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival. Gustavo is also the writer, producer and one of the principals in this film short opening for a feature entitled O Carteiro. P&G had a little co-producing help from another Frontiers friend and mensch (that is a compliment despite the way it sounds), Daniel Dreifuss.

Despite thematic similarities, both films are very different experiences recounted by filmmakers from entirely different backgrounds. It’s a busy week in the festival world, so mark your calendars and say hi to our friends.
