Frontiers cover model and native SoCal surfer Jimmy Heck portrays a sex-addict member of the dysfunctional Petunia family in Ash Christian’s latest film, aptly entitled Petunia. Christian’s dark comedy received a great response at Outfest 2012, so for those who missed it and are traveling to (or live in) the Big Apple this weekend, take a break from the humidity and head to Lincoln Center. The film screens this Saturday, July 28 at 11:30 a.m. at the Walter Reade Theatre.

From the man who brought you Fat Girls and Mangus!, Petunia has been described as a Woody Allen-esque comedy.  Additionally, like Allen’s ensembles, Petunia boasts a stellar cast: Thora Birch, Christine Lahti, Michael Urie, Brittany Snow and Jimmy Heck. Check out the trailer.
